You bring the design.
We build the supply chain behind it.

You do not need a factory to launch an eyewear brand. You need one partner who can take a sketch through CAD, tooling, prototyping and bulk — and who will not put your design into next season's catalogue.

From sketch to shelf

Eight stages, one owner

Every stage has a defined output you sign off before we move. You are never asked to approve a stage you have not seen.

01

Brief & direction

Sketch, moodboard, reference frame or a written idea. We ask about market, price point and fit standard.

02

Design for manufacturing

We review the design against real constraints — wall thickness, hinge clearance, shrinkage, assembly order — and say what will not build.

03

CAD & 3D review

Technical drawings and a 3D model for your approval. Dimensions, tolerances and material callouts made explicit.

04

Tooling

Mould or CNC path chosen on cost per unit at your volume, not on what is easiest for us.

05

Prototype

First article off the tool, unpainted and unpolished. This is where geometry problems surface, before money is spent on finish.

06

Sample & revision

Finished samples in your colourway with a dimension and colour report. One revision round included.

07

Pilot run

A small production run to prove the process before you commit to full quantity — useful for first collections.

08

Bulk & QC

Production with IQC-IPQC-FQC gates, third-party inspection welcome, export documentation handled.

First collection

What a first season
actually costs

Most new brands are quoted a unit price and then surprised by tooling, sampling and packaging on top. Here is the whole budget for a typical first collection, written out.

If a supplier will not show you this breakdown, ask why.

Worked example — 3 acetate models × 300 pcs (3 colours × 100)
Line itemBasisIndicative
Tooling3 models × USD 350–600USD 1,050–1,800
Sampling3 samples, credited on orderUSD 180–360
Bulk production900 pcs × USD 5.80–9.50USD 5,220–8,550
Packagingcase, pouch, cloth per unitquoted separately
First collection totalbefore lenses and freightUSD 6,450–10,710

Indicative only, based on current acetate pricing at 300 pcs per model (three colours at 100 each). Your quotation follows the actual drawing — a thick laminated front or a custom hinge changes it.

Intellectual property

Your design stays yours

This is the first question every designer asks, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a policy page.

We do not develop competing designs from customer artwork. It is not a clause — it is the reason brands keep coming back.

  • NDA before anything. Yours or ours, signed before the first drawing is opened.
  • Tooling belongs to you once it is paid for. We store it; we never use it for another client.
  • No catalogue leakage. Your design does not appear in our showroom, our website or another buyer's quote.
  • Named project team. Artwork is accessible only to the engineer and the line supervisor assigned to you.
  • Tooling can leave. If you move suppliers, your moulds ship with you.

Commercials

What it costs, and how long

Price bands below are for acetate optical frames at standard specification. Metal and combination sit higher because of tooling and finishing time. Exact pricing is quoted per drawing.

Figures are indicative and will be replaced with your current price list before launch.

Indicative bands — acetate optical frames, FOB Ningbo
QuantityToolingUnit price bandLead time

Minimum order is 300 pcs per model, split as 100 pcs minimum per colour — so one model can ship as three colourways of 100. Production is 65 days from golden-sample approval at every quantity above, and tooling is credited against bulk orders above 1,200 pcs.

To start

What we need from you

A complete brief shortens development by roughly a week. What we ask for:

  • Sketch, artwork or reference frame — AI, PDF or DXF at 1:1
  • Target retail price, so we can work backwards to a cost
  • Sheeting codes (block numbers), or a physical colour sample
  • Quantity per model and colour for the first season
  • Branding position and artwork file
  • Destination market, so the right test standard is applied

We are a new brand — is 300 pieces realistic for a first season?

Yes — and the colour split is what makes it work. 300 pcs is the minimum per model, but it can be split into 100 pcs per colour, so a single model can launch in three colourways. Two models × three colours is 600 pcs in total and still reads as a full first range on a shelf.

We have no technical drawings — only sketches. Can you still quote?

Yes. Roughly half of our development projects start from a sketch or a photo of an existing frame. We handle CAD and the technical drawings; you approve them before tooling starts.

Will you produce our design for another client later?

No. Design files, tooling and production records stay tied to one client. This is written into the NDA, not left to trust.

What does a first collection usually cost?

For three acetate models at 300 pieces each, tooling typically lands between USD 1,050 and 1,800, with unit cost in the USD 5.80–9.50 band depending on material and finish. We quote against your actual drawings.

Can you help with packaging and retail presentation?

Yes — cases, pouches, cleaning cloths, barcodes, hangtags and multilingual inserts. For first collections this is often what separates a brand that looks established from one that does not.
